well, you can pick up a book and learn, thats what i did. And, dont start off with the how to make games book, get c++ down first. There is a great book called c++: how to program, its authored by deitel&deitel, id suggest that you start with that one first

...but I don't think that it's available in german...

Is there a REALLY GREAT "Newbie course" or something like that with some commented sourcecode examples for Visual C++ 6.0?

Note: I'm familiar with programming (Basic / Visual basic) but want to create a game any day...
But VB isn't the right choice 4 this, is it?
