RenderWare just got a whole lot more useless. EA owning it is about as big a conflict of interest as they come.
Just for EA to be able to develop their games without having to pay RenderWare licenses is reason enough for them. They did the math.

EA doesn't care much if small companies like Acclaim, Midway, Majesco, etc. (fill in 80% of publishers here) stop buying RW licenses or switch to something else. It's just additional pocketchange to them.
