I know they aren't lengthy, but some comments would be nice. I haven't worked on them in awhile. I'm not sure where to go. If anyone would like to collaborate on some songs using Reason, I'm willing and ready.
What are you trying to accomplish with these 2 songs? Are you shooting for full-length, or just aimlessly dropping down notes?
If you want to complete one of those songs, take a piece of paper and write out what you want it to do. 8 bars of intro, 8 bars of this and that, etc. Finish the song on paper first, and then write it in whatever program you're using. You can't drop down a melody and then expect the song to build itself around it unless you have some direction. Try dropping a 4/4 drum beat down in Violinator instead of that bass/cymbal crash thing.
The violin sounds very synthetic, are you using Reason? They could both use some bass as well. Don't be afraid to deviate and experiment with different instruments. Sound good so far. Step away from the computer and let the melody flow in your head for a while. In your mind, picture your music as music in a movie... make a scene to it and see if it takes off.
Keep it up.
