I'm composing a song with TablEdit and it's not exporting the song to WAV as it should, but it does export to MIDI. How do I convert the MIDI to WAV without the hassle of having to find PRG files, etc.?
Play back the file and record the output as you would an external audio source?

edit: I wrote a question mark there because there is probably a better way to do it.

Total Recorder will do this pretty well, but you have to pay to get decent quality. I'm sure there are cracks for it though (not that I am advocating that, of course)

Awave Studio [www.fmjsoft.com] is your friend :)
playing back and recording it is the one and only way to get midi to wav.

You can use programs like mid2wav that DON'T require sound patches, they record from hardware.
If you're on windows, an easy way would be to play the file back with winamp using a sound output plugin that writes the sound to file. There are several free plugins like this out there, for instance File Writerwhich I use myself.
