Hello, I have not finished flushing out all my ideas yet, but I am wondering what people's opinions are regarding them and where they are heading. Are there glaring holes in the document? IE complete sections not covered that should be... remembering that the game is a MOD so it is not designing the game "from scratch". Are my designs poor? Hate it? (or even like it? Your allowed!) Thank you for any comments you may have. A link to the document is below (note that while the link below is active the actual website will not be up until the end of this weekend): http://www.hginstitute.com/hgi-frs.doc Just to give you a feeling of the game, the introductory excerpt in the document is below: 5.1 Concept The game will allow players to experience a heroic life in a Homeric Greece. While the plot will not contain excerpts from either the Iliad, or the Odyssey, it will convey the themes that Homer emphasized. A large amount of research is being conducted to ensure that the weapons, livestock, architecture, and the ideas of the people who populate the world are as accurate as possible. Homer's epics contain massive battles, meddling gods, individual triumph, moral failure, cowardice, longing, and revenge. The epics also taught the Greek polis about what it meant to be Greek. The primary tools to educate the young of Ancient Greece had been The Iliad and the Odyssey. Instruction was given on the texts, not solely for their literary component, but also as moral tales to base your life on. General Gameplay People who you interact with will have family members, belong to organizations and support their city-state. Inevitably, to be a hero, you will have to take sides. The decision you make will not only influence the disposition of those around you, but also those who know the individuals that you hurt or help. Homeric Greece is a time and place where gods are involved in the everyday matters of mortals. A god could be your friend, your parent, or your enemy. Gods can have an unexpected impact on your life; they tend to be petty, childish and impulsive. But then you, as the child of a god probably are too. A true hero won't just be a great warrior, but will be a leader of men. Bards throughout the world will sing your heroic accomplishments, but more tangibly, these deeds they will inspire your troops. Perhaps without your presence they would turn and run, with you they charge forward, inspired and unafraid. You are a hero and a leader. The game exists to tell your story. -Peasant-
They would normally be carring wheat, barely, clothing, hay, family heirlooms, rice, grain, and livestock to be sold at a local market to survive and to feed the family for a price.

-Wait Time-
I was thinking if you add the code to some function like this:
1) if a pc has towait for a business to open no matter what time of day or night but also the pc arrived to early or to late he/she would have to wait in this sort of code:

1 minute in realtime is 1 hour in the game. he or she could say something during this time? ( option )
2 minutes in realife is 2 hours in the game.

etc.So if the pc had arrived early to get some information from a local market clerk or some other business but the business does not open the next few hours or even until the next day. You can have the pc goto an inn to sleep. But he or she could leave a note saying he or she will return the next few hours or the next day to acquire some information, weaponary, armor(in any) etc ( also optional about leaving a note )

-Sleep-
Ifd the player does not get rest he / she could start becoming drouzy , sleep walking , mumble something he/sheshouldnthave,knock things over, ride a horse or chariot in a lazy and unmannerly way also knocking things over.

-End Scoring-
How about rankings?

1) For every 5 to 10 missions or quests you complete your status ranking will increase from an example a peasant to messanger or what ever the rankings would be.

2) If in a battle you kill certain amount of enemies

100 kills and or saving peoples lives or doing good deeds also alows for ranking increase.
150 kills
200 kills
250 kills
300 kills
350 kills
400 kills
450 kills
500 kills
550 kills
600 kills
650 kills
700 kills
750 kills
800 kills
850 kills
900 kills
950 kills
1000 kills

As you also said you can have the warrior or soldier displayed in the museum.

Just some thoughts when I read you document design.
