Hi, i need a program for a redhat linux server that automatically updates my ip for a dns server. All you need to do is go to this url:http://dynamic.registerfly.com/?domain=domain.com&password=password&host=icq&ipaddress=1.1.1.1.1 All the program needs to do is periodically check my ip and update it through that url when it changes. The one they provide wont work for some reason so any help would be good. If full source could be provided that would be awesome. Lambo
We all think that we are the best with computers but we all keep reffering to the same all-mighty all-knowing Guru, Google.
find out what DHCP client you're using, find out how to make it call a script whenever your IP changes, and write a script that wget's that address.

There are about a dozen clients for linux listed on www.dyndns.org -> here.
ddclient is simple to install and works flawlessly here - there should be redhat packages available...
