I am a 17 year old computer programmer, and have been so for about 5 years. I was just in the process of moving from DOS into Windows, and I could not find very many documents that stated how to program in Windows, and how to do graphics. I browsed the internet for a while and happened upon this page. For all the time I spent looking at tutorials and all the time i browsed the internet, I didn''t learn a thing, compared to how much I''ve learned while this site has been up. I praise NeHe and his devotion to the programming community. We need more people like him. NeHe, rock on i believe your site is on the most well though out, visually appealing site i''ve seen, and the content is excellent. Thanks. Faet Juneau, Alaska

What about it ... I started C++ at 11 ... now I am 17 too
(you can find me on IRC : #opengl on undernet)
I''ve actually been thinking of setting up a site specifically for general window''s programing! Haven''t seen a lot of that myself, most sites specialize in something like OpenGL, DirectX, Game programing, ect... I don''t know how good a job I''ll be able to do but I''m gonna try. Anyone interested in such a site please e-mail me at avian@mnic.net the more interest I have the more time I''ll spend on it!
I think the idea of a general windows programming web site would be awesome. I personally feel it would help newbies get a more in-depth understanding of the Windows API. I also think if you''re going to have a site on windows programming, include the GDI because it''s an important part. Be concise and maybe on like the last tutorial direct them to a directx site or an opengl site such as this one.

That''d be kewl

Actually, I''m planning a couple of opengl and directx tutorials for the site as well! I''m currently looking for a home for the site and have already started creating the site. the links page already has gamedev.net and nehe.gamedev.net on it!
I''m also goint to use the site for the games and utility''s I''m working on. making some of the code open source so I can get some help with making it better as well and helping others learn from my mistakes! And there are a lot of them to learn from!
If u wnt we can work on it together? just an idea. email me faet83@yahoo.com
