lesson 22 bump + png is not working
hi all
i was tring to do bump mapping by myself (based on lesson 22)
and it was not working
after a few hours of frustrating failures, i decided to edit
lesson 22 code to look for the problem
when i modified the code of the "loadtextures" function, to
load png files, i found the problem...
it seems that png format do not like bumping :S
im using a library i dowloaded somewhere... its called
pngLoad
i dont know why is this...
the resulting image i got, instead of the bumped image,is the "inverse" of the base image (yo can get it by editint the
image on "ms paint" and inverting colors)
any one have an idea of whats happenign?
and how to solve it?

I think you should look into Dot3 Bump-mapping instead of the lesson 22... Lesson 22 use emboss bump mapping, which is very out-dated and ugly...
