Quick question

Just a quick bit of misc info needed here. Will there be a performance hit if I use GL_FLOAT as the data for a texture. Thats all, thanks.
I think there will be no performance hit when the texture is already loaded into the texture memory, because the OpenGL driver will convert the floats to another format. There could be a performance hit while you load the texture.

nope ther''re prolly be a performance hit though if u use a char or an int instead of a float
