Hey, if anyone has successfully used the DSV library in a project, I am having a problem with VC5 giving this error when compiling: e:\devtools\CodeStudio\VC\LIB\dsv32.lib : fatal error LNK1106: invalid file or disk full: cannot seek to 0x39711582 If anyone knows how to remedy this please tell! Its making me crazy. Thnx Cel.

Yeh I did, the example source gives the same error.....

hmmm u think it could be anything to do with win2k?

I cant think of any reason why it does this unless the .lib file from the dsv site has a problem

sigh

I had this problem a while ago, for me it was the fact that .lib files compiled with VC6 are _not_ compatible with VC5. I don''t know anything about the DSV library, but can you get a VC5 version or even the source to recompile it?

Hope this helps,

Well after much stuffing around and scouring the net, I am now fully stumped.

I even installed Borland C++ 5.0 (ack!) and still got a similar error (bad file offset at 0, or somethin like that).

PLEASE, if anyone out there has successfully compiled/used the DSV library under MSVC++ 5.0, could you forward (email) a working demo project or a copy of the .lib,.dll and .h files which work for you !

I have downloaded the library 4 times from the DSV site (www.digitalsv.com) and get the same error each time.

Failing not being able to get this library running, perhaps someone could direct me to some info/tutes on opening/streaming .avi files.

Much thanks in advance, Cel
