you could use Pov-Ray with Moray and then convert the .pov-files to .obj. There are several converters available, for example 3D Win File Format Converter.

I am looking for a shareware/freeware 3D modeler which can handle Wavefront/Obj files.
I need it just for creating simple models and to put some textures on it.

I downloaded the files but now I have one problem:
The tool can convert from pob to obj. Where can I make the step to convert the pov-file to a pob-file?
