JPEG textures

Does anyone have information or good links concerning reading/using JPEG textures. A quick search on google doesn''t bring up much.
You could try using OpenIL. It''s OpenGL-lookalike library for images and it''s quite easy to use. You can read jpg-images with it and use them as textures. Only problem with OpenIL is that they pump out new version too frequently.

It uses another library to read those jpgs, I think it''s jpglib. You could also try using something like that to read your jpgs. There''s no point in doing your one jpg-reader.
