Free Music Creation Software
I was wondering if anyone could please give me links for free music creation software? Notation software, mixing software, whatever I can express my creativety, but it has to be free. I''m a student and cannot currently afford expensive software. Thanks!
Modplug
Impulse Tracker
KRYSTAL audio editor
Anvil Studio
Renoise (demo version is fairly functional)
Softsynths from www.kvr-vst.com
You SERIOUSLY need to spend money though. You will not get anywhere using only free stuff. At the very least, buy FLStudio for $100.

Thanks for the reply!
I''m trying out MOD Tracker. FLStudio? Is that Fruity Loops?

FLStudio used to be known as Fruity Loops, but I think they dropped that name because it is now a full-fledged sequencer, not just a simple loop creator like it previously was.
Try midget 3.0. The website is
www.goldcroft6.freeserve.co.uk
I tried it and it is down, but version 3.0 works great.
This software creates royalty free mid files using the sixteen channels and multiple tones per channel, with each channel assigned an instrument. Basicly you can have a whole orchestra. The actual creation process is not traditionally done like in the scoring sequence method, but it is still easy to use and works.
