Smaller size? Speedier somehow? Is it REALLY necessary to implement a TARGA loading function? Thanks.

It''s also pretty easy to load ''cause the file format is very simple, even when it''s a compressed TGA
.bmp - big; .jpeg - ugly picture (its compression looses data). Targa - comprimable, alpha channel, nice picture, easy loading =)

Oxyd
PNGs are as nice a targas for the same reasosn.

Is there a good targa exporter that''s not photoshop, because I won''t be able to buy that for a few months.

After converting my images to TARGA, I noticed that NeHe's TGA loader doesn't support grayscale images. Any thoughts on how to get around it? (I would just change my picture to color in GIMP but I'll be danged if I know how)

Oops disregard this post.
