Using extern

For some reason I think using ''extern'' could be performance degrading, am I correct?
the only thing i can think of is that it guarantees that the call can''t be inlined.

I think that you are wrong dude.

Anon is right about no inline and stuff, but if you are not using an inline anyway...

It of course depends on the compiler, but from the bit about asembly, compilers(, procesessers, computers, memory...) that I know, I am prity sure that it is fine. If it is degrading, then maybe you need a new linker. (or you are running windows, but then again, that degrades everything )
