I was wondering if anyone knew of a resource to obtain figures about game sales. I am doing some research on population and demographics on the census and chamber of commerce websites. If anyone has any other suggestions I would very grateful. If I posted this in the wrong forum, let me know and I''ll change it accordingly.

You can find details of companies that supply sales data at http://www.obscure.co.uk/directory_market.shtml. Unfortunately most of them charge money for their services. Alternatively scouring the archives of the various news sites often throws up some headline data that one group or other has released. Other possible sources IGDA.org and Gamasutra.com
