Redhat irc server

Hello
just got a new box and put redhat 9 on it. I want to be able to run my own irc server and this is the first time google let me down.=( Anyone have any info on running your own irc server?

The most common IRC server is called ircd. You should find it on the RedHat 9 CDs if its not installed already.
the ircd man page (type: man ircd ) will give you some information . So will this website http://irchelp.org/irchelp/ircd/

I used to like unrealircd. (google it)
but I haven''t used it (any irc server) in a long time, don''t know if its still good.
