Don't ask me exactly what prompted me to bring this up, but I was just sitting here and I suddenly remembered one of my favorite games. Does anybody remember the game "Lemonade Stand" for the Apple2? Its amazing how such a simple game, brought such joy to many, or maybe all it took were simple things to amuse me. It would be interesting to see a game like this today, maybe a little bit more complex and a bit more options then the original lemonade.. but the same basic idea. Heck, even throw in a little multi-player Just seems like most of my favorite games, are all at least a decade and a half old.. I can't get rid of my nes games. I'd like to know what some of your favorite retro games were, on any platform nes and before. some of my favorites- o Metroid (Nes) o Turbo (Coleco Vision) o Blue Print (Atari) o Raiders of the lost ark (Atari) o Rolling Thunder (Arcade) I'll stop now, I don't wanna take up 10 pages. LOL! It is definitely the classics which are the best. I still love Wolf3D because I can remeber when I first got it. I still haven''t completed Episodes 4-6, but I keep going back and having a bit more of a go. I love that game and there is nothing that will ever stop me playing it. HECK! I choose to play it instead of Q1!!! Q3 I might reconsider on though (can''t get over mirroring or fog... *drool*) but anyway... Space Invaders is always a favourite... And I love all of those Text-Based Adventure games...

Jacaranda Jim
The Unkuulian Underworld
Thats about all I can remember for now

I also love those old text-based BBS games like LORD and LORD II, BRE, TROI, And all the rest! *drool*

Thats enough from me fer now

Yes! I do remember that game! It was so much fun. Although the weather was a repeating pattern. Oh man, I had a lot of great stuff for the old apple. I think it''s in the basement now. I learned to program on that computer, in basic. Yep, those were the good old days. Let''s see, I had choplifter, miss pacman, mario brothers (the original, before the nintendo one), arcade boot camp, lots of good stuff.

Oh! And do you remember that text game, Hitchhiker''s Guide to the Galaxy? That was the best text game.

I remember that and Zork. Both got pretty weird after a while. They both helped with my imagination skills though

My picks would be:

Frontline (Coleco Vision)
Zelda (Nes)

Zelda was great... I loved Zelda, and I didn't even have a NES. I played it on my friends

I had a bunch of games for the apple also.. I remember playing DrJ v/s Larry Bird one/one, where you could go up and break the glass on the backgoard, and the little ref would come and sweet it up.

Then there was Karateka, one of the first games to use cinematic cut scenes.. I had conan, which I remember was like most games, you had to flip it over sometimes to play the ''2nd'' side. I remember competing for hours with my 2 brothers on the world/winter/california games series from epyx.

Yes, Wolf3d.. I still remember when I got that game too. . I don''t know what ever happened to those disks.. Seems like I would lose 1 of the installation disks somewhere and I never made backups... You win some you lose some..

Does anybody know if ''Freddy Pharkas, Frontier Pharmacist'' was ever released by SierraOnline? I know Al Lowe had developed a demo and packaged it into the Leisure Suit Larry Collection a few years back...

I never heard of it since,
Well, hey there goes to show, even the big guys don''t finish what they start. Like the 3d version of larry, #8.. started, never finished.

yeah, i remember Lemonade stand. I was even thinking about trying to do another version of it. my brother, sister, and I used to sit around and play it constantly

another game i used to play on my apple ][ was Spy Hunter from Midway...at least, I think that was what it was called. I also liked river raid on atari, and I''ve got one of the activision atari packs, but river raid is a little unresponsive on the computer for some reason...
