OK.. Its seems like there are many people out there who are wanting a way to import 3D models into thier OGL programs. I am thinking Of emailing Nehe and asking him if he would like me to create a tutorial for loading in the ASE format(which can be exported from 3D Studio Max).

I have created a function which does exactly this, but I am not sure that the way I am doing it is the best way it could be done.. It supports material qualities such as Ambient and specular quals and texturing. It also supports the creation of Normals for good lighting..
Although it does the job, I wouldn''t be happy distributing it until it has been optimised a lot.
