How do I use Maya for game development?
I have Maya 4.5 Complete and I was thinking about doing some game development. What are the best plugins and formats to use e.g. OBJ, VRML2. And how would I export animations like a character running? Also are there any standard APIs or libraries I can use to display such exports in real time or do I export an animation as an OBJ, say, for each of the character''s movements and then load in each OBJ file recursively.
Well the thing is that it''s probobly better to write a exporter directly in maya, that way you get what you want and not alot of junk data.
Shure, it''s a bit of extra work, but it''s worth it.
Personaly i use lightwave but that''s because i have only recently started working with maya(since september).
