Why isn''t that file in the d/ directory?
ftp.slackware.at/slackware-current/slackware/d/

What shall I do with it once I have it?
Extract it manually? To where?
Or rename it .tgz and install it with installpkg?

Maybe because it''s a library

Get l/glibc-2.3.2-i486-5.tgz and installpkg it. Or just install swaret and have it do everything for you.
