This is a bit off topic, but I think that Michalson''s description of why one needs extended partitions is one of the best I have ever seen.

Agreed. Incidentally, I have the same situation with the outlets in my room (they''re all filled up, and I had to do some rearranging and such with power bars).

it _probably_ does, but the kernel needs to be compiled with some "DOS Extended Partition support" thing that it usually isn''t.
