i am having problems with loading certain WAV files with OpenAL. i can load a WAV file w/ the following stats: 176kbps@57.6kB. i cannot load these file stats though: 178kbps@149kB pr 89kbps@104kB. i think its the stats that could be causing problems. any ideas of how i could force he al system to accep them or do i have to change the bitrates and stuff?

best would be to dll some cool little program and convert them to the standard 128bkps (mp3) wav 44hrzt 1024kbps or whatever the standard is that all comps can use

you can download any 1 of the 1035713051705310510501350175 programs online that convert between wav,ogg,mp3 to do the converting for you. I would suggest picking a format & sticking with it (obviously the one that works) throughout your project. Keep in mind that most people have those crappy little computer speakers so usually there is no need to have WAV files with huge amounts of quality, most can''t tell the difference.
