Original post by ShadowWolf It sounds all out of synch though it''s not. Also, the bass sounds like it might be a little overpowering. It''s hard to hear the chords in it.
I listen to a lot of D&B and IDM so I''m used to drastically off time and bizarre beats. I found the bass and beat easy to follow and actually pleasing, but my tastes are kind of eccentric and my opinion should be taken with a grain of salt. =/
Mulligan - What software/hardware did you use for this track?
I have to agree with my anonymous friend above. The piano on chords is a gread pad. However, the feel of the rythym is kind of jazzy, and is spoiled by the 16ths on the high hat. Experiment with 8th notes instead, OR vary the velocities on the high hat. Strong on the downbeat and beat 3, but less on the other beats, and even less with all the other ones not on a beat.
You might also want to try changing the stereo effect that you had going on (which I though was really cool). The song begins to sound cluttered and repetitive. Not a good thing in dance music.
Experiment also with the velocities on the piano, strong first chord, quiet second, or vice versa. It''ll give the song a feeling of movement and progression.
yea i though it was hot although i no its fast i think the second half shood speed 6 even more wut ya usin it for a boosfight??/
