Hello,

I post every now and again as "anonymous User" because my account doesn''t work right and I''m too lazy to email the gamedev ppl about it.

Wain P.

I used to work as a software engineer, realized after awhile that I hate the computer industry, am currently finalizing my BM in Music Composition, and will be studying for a Masters in Comp. soon after.

Mind you, I''m not always the "anonymous user"
G''day!

My name is Scott Buckley, and I am a composer studying my Bachelor of Music at the Queensland University of Technology (Brisbane, Australia in case no one knows.)

You can grab some examples of me music at www.mp3.com.au/scottbuckley. I am pretty much solely a symphonic composer...it seems to give me the greatest buzz, and it seems to be what I have a mild talent for.

Enjoy , and nice to meet ya.

I''m a simple "humanoid" .. i''m into computer music for many years now (i began with octamed on amiga) (good old days!!)

I''m & was "mainly" into electronic/Techno Music (i love all is electronic in music) I do it for passion and as an hobby in my spare time. I also love "trying" to compose orchestral Themes or Themes in general. My Music Gods and Idols are :

Themes:
1)Howard Shore 2)Basil Poledouris 3)John Williams 4)James Horner.

Electronic Music:
For example the latest Pet Shop Boys song "miracles" is
awesome in my opinion, because i like melody & harmony in electronic music.

Game Composers:
1) Chris Huelsbeck , 2)Bill Brown ,3)The Guy From Blizzard Who is Creating The World of Warcraft Themes (i don''t remember the name.. )

That''s all

Hey All,

I was a developer of secure operating systems for military, government, and high end electronic commerce for about six years. After leaving that company, I started a Mac OS X development company with another person I was working with at my previous job. We've been in business for over two years now doing productivity and security apps for Mac OS X.

In my spare time, I play as much poker as possible and work on my own gaming projects and have been doing a lot of research into multi-day momentum trading of NYSE and NASDAQ stocks (there are numerous parallels between trading and poker).

If you are interested to see what my company is doing you can find us at www.codetek.com (CodeTek Studios, Inc.)

Cheers!

Jeff

Lo Bobs! GOT PIE????

I come from a tracking background of 14 or 15 years having started on the Amiga. Before that I composed in Midi and using those old Yamaha PSR keyboards, before that I just had to remember what I composed on my old Electone Organ.

I kinda got into Game Audio by accident 4 years ago as I was asked by a friend to submit a demo for a game they were developing. I got the gig not realising I had competed against other people for the position. Anyway, that was my first title which was released on multi-platform.

After that I kind of dropped out of sight as I went travelling overseas for 4 years and silly of me to not keep up with actively pursuing a music career. Actually, I used to work as a contract software engineer for 8 years before moving finally into Audio full time in June 2003 as I hated IT work. I didn''t choose an Audio career back then because thought I''d grow to hate having to do it all the time... BOY WaS I WRONG!

Now I am back at school studying audio engineering at SAE to futher my skills and I take contract work for multi platforms in my spare time, I mainly deal with hand-helds, though have just done a little work for a GC title.

I still help out the occassional freeware/shareware game inbetween projects.. but lately I have had no time to do this .

you can hear some of my cheese here

Hello! I''m Todd, and I''m a theatrical sound designer/composer (since ''98) who is trying to cross-over into being a video game sound designer/composer. I''ve hooked up with a good "garage game" that is nearing the completion of it''s demo! I''ve been contacted about doing some minor freelance work with a few companies, but that''s the extent of my game experience so far.

I''ve been actively seeking full-time or freelance game employement for a few months now. It''s starting to get a bit discouraging. Still, I told myself that I''d give it a year, so I have 9 or 10 months to go, I guess.

I have demos available online:
