I''ve just heard that Solaris is out on x86 for free! Regardless, is it worth using? I''ve used Linux for awhile, but I want to try something different. /*Shawn*/
Try FreeBSD if you want to try another *nix just to be different.

Wow, it used to be just free licenses but you had to pay for the media kit. I guess they made it a little more "free" than it used to be. Although I am not completely sure if the hardware support is good enough to use with most computers. I would say use Linux or *BSD if you want to use a *NIX on your computer, since there are larger communities around those systems than solaris.
