I am waiting until I can get a bunch
of blank cd''s and floppy disk
before i can get a *BSD varient.
Ive been looking into NetBSD.

Wow, it used to be just free licenses but you had to pay for the media kit. I guess they made it a little more "free" than it used to be. Although I am not completely sure if the hardware support is good enough to use with most computers. I would say use Linux or *BSD if you want to use a *NIX on your computer, since there are larger communities around those systems than solaris.
