On my red hat and fedora systems they have firewalls that you set up when you install them(enable or disable and a list what the firewall lets it go through). I was wondering where I could set them up at and disable or enable? I could not find it in the menu on gnome. thanks

IPTables always works in linux to set up a firewall, although if you installed the "configuration tools" package from the Red Hat/Fedora installer, you should actually have a tool for setting up the firewall graphically, this site could help you set up your firewall in RH linux.
