My friend is working on a voxel modeling program. This weekend he added a feature that would take 2 drawings, one from side and one from front, and model from them...in 4 clicks. Also is a painter from image, paint you models the way you colored them! Once he adds a triangle exporter, anyone who can draw will be able to create 3d game models. This looks pretty sweet. Needs an undo though. Is there a way to make the block smaller? Was way to wide for a person test I was doing. I tried cut but i cut out parts through the whole block. Also will there be a way to separate arm from rest of body? Then move arms and legs?

You''d have to animate a voxel model in the same way you''d animate a raster image.
Voxels are to polygons as pixels are to vectors.

btw, I think the characters in the Bladerunner game were done in voxels. They''re a good example of the advantages and disadvantages of voxels.

There was neat little app called Photo Modeler Light that did something simliar. The free version doesn''t exist anymore though
