Anybody know of a good resource to help out with running and administering a CVS server? Google isn''t much help because any combination with "cvs server" returns mostly results containing instructions for logging into somebody''s specific server. I have a server up and running, but it''s acting a little quirky and I''d really like to know the ins and outs of the server so I can take care of the quirks. I initially configured it with Mandrake''s control center or whatever. That only took a few clicks, so I didn''t actually learn anything. My handful of Linux reference books have surprisingly little to say about CVS servers.
Try this Howto: <a href="http://tldp.org/HOWTO/CVS-RCS-HOWTO.html">http://tldp.org/HOWTO/CVS-RCS-HOWTO.html</a>.

http://cvsbook.red-bean.com/ and http://www.cvshome.org/docs/manual/cvs-1.11.6/cvs.html are good resources for everything about CVS (especially the first one).
