Did anybody try that ? I have read somewhere that Palm OS supports Opengl routines ...

That would be a suprise to me if it''s true.

There is no built in/included OpenGL library, however I have seen partial conversions. Back when I saw the conversions it was extremely slow (10fps for a wireframe cube), however that was on 16Mhz Palms with very slow refresh. I would assume an OpenGL library is more then possible on a more modern Palm (use Google)
Seems someone tried this three years ago.

Hasn''t been updated since then though.

Isn''t this what openglES is for?
Palm -> Java -> OpenGL?
Newbie programmers think programming is hard.Amature programmers think programming is easy.Professional programmers know programming is hard.
