Alex, when is FEAR 0.3 coming out? I''m going to be using it for a research project, just wondering if it will be out in any realistic amount of time.

The framework for 0.3 is in CVS and will change very little. The API documentation is generated automatically from the source (it''s well documented). The whole thing should build portably with SCons but it''s not yet been tested on anything else but my machine.

I''m not sure when exactly an official release will happen, but no doubt within a month. At the moment, I''m quite happily developing it alone without having to support another distribution .

What kind of project did you have in mind?

I''m going to be making a comparison of reactive and hybrid autonous navigation systems in an unknown environment where the robot has subjective perception. I''m not sure what method I''m going to use yet, I dug up some interesting stuff on subsumption, but I''m still poking around.
