Luckily I managed to borrow the book from my college Library. I look into the book and "huh?"? All texts.
All theories. I would expect some implementation side. So again what is so special about AI Programming Wisdom. Everyone is saying that the book is super great!
Sorry to be rude here. Any comments? I just want to get my job done on some FPS AIs?
Thanks.

I also felt the book had a little too much theory, but the authors kept very general on purpose so that the algorithms would be applicable to more projects. I think they should have included a little more code(so I could see various example implementations of some of the algorithms - it doesn't need to be related to my projects just a place to start from) than they did, but it was still a very good book. I've heard that most of the authors don't mind recieving emails asking for assistance with their sections which is why they all included their email addresses.

Actually, we just finished Empires: Dawn of the Modern World. Last 6 months have been torturous, nightmarish and physically draining, but we made it through.
Expect it on the shelves on the 21st...

I also bought the book recently and have read most of it. I thought it was an awesome book and after reading some of the articles I would have these light-bulb moments where I would say to myself, "so THAT is how you do that". Overall one of the best books I own and well worth the money.
Thanks to everyone who contributed.
