Hello all! My question is this, if i were to go to university and get a 4 year degree in Computer Games Programming, would this give me any flexibility? As in, if i then later wanted to be another type of programmer, would it be possible to switch from game programming or would the fact that i would have specialised early hinder me ? You would be better off getting a more general CS related degree if you think it likely that you may change direction later.

I don''t think it''s likely that i would want to change in the near future, i just mean it as a backup. Would it be hard to get into games programming with a general degree?
