is it too late?

well after another boring day doing my job I''ve decided I''ve had enough. I''ve had enough of building business applications and now I''ve decided I need to get into the games business. But I''m wondering if it''s too late.....here''s the situation. I''m 23, and been out of uni for a year where I got a good hons degree in software engineering. Got 2 years of VB6 programming and 6 months vb.net and related stuff. Did a module called ''Computer Graphics and Visualisation'', which covered lots of rendering and mathematics to do with rendering. I''ve been in my current job for 6 months and i''ve just decided I''ve had enough and want to mix the two things I love...programming and games. The question is, is how do i get into it. I''ve got little c++ experience and little directX. Do you think a company would take me on as a junior developer or what do I have to do to become employable? Any help would be much appreciated (or if you think i am a lost cause and am stuck with business apps then put me out of my misery!) Cheers Nick

thanks,

wasn''t trying to spam the forum just wasn''t sure of where to ask the question.
C++ is the only thing that will fly for games. I can only think of one game that could be written in Visual Basic but I''m keeping that idea to myself for now.

James is right. C and C++ are pretty much essential for the games biz.
