Will PCs become cheap enough to eliminate the console market?

Yeah, Micro$hit could do that (making 1000 new bugs btw), but creating a Linux distro aimed towards games would be a better idea. It''s more stable and faster (quake3 on the same config works almost 30% faster on my slackware installation than on windoze!). The only problem is that gaming market on Linux is growing damn slowly (though companies are getting more and more interested in this). New teams and groups are being formed (like angry-pixels.com) but it''s still not enough. lokigames.com did a piece of great job, but it''s still not much...
