Does debian support the latest nv drivers? It says in the readme it supports RH, MD, SUSE.. But that doesnt mean it wont work with debian. Also would version would you recommend that I install, this is what I want. Clean install(simple is better) Great Docs A bunch of extras, like mandrake has RPMDrake for example and debian has apt-get or whatever its called. Easy to work with but powerful. Doesnt seem to crash as much as the others. Must have support for nv drivers I have MD 9.1 installed but I wanted to try something different thnx

Debian has its own source packages for the closed NVidia in its non-free repository (nvidia-kernel-src and nvidia-glx-src, to be specific). After you install them and your kernel headers (apt-get install kernel-headers-version) you can read the installation instructions in /usr/share/doc/nvidia-*-src (where the * is kernel or glx). If you need further help, just ask.

Whether or not Debian is for you is a entirely different matter.

Closed nvidia? I have ALWAYS gotten the source versions of both glx and the kernel driver from nVidia''s website. Well, until I switched to Gentoo. Now I just emerge them

Those aren''t all the source - the kernel driver includes the (closed) nv-kernel.o, with source for code which merely loads that in a mostly kernel-version-independant way. Similarly, the GLX stuff is close binary librarys and header files for developers.
