I'm looking for a serious publisher for the game. The site of the game is www.fir3storm.home.ro I found some link's to some publishers but i'm realy lust. I see the publishers site's, they promise o lot buy not many have distributed more that some table games. Some of them want the game done 100% , some of them will help you finish your game, and the big publishers dont even want to see your game. (maybe becouse they don't sale table games ). It's a lot of work to make a good game and if you finish the game wath do you do? If you can't sell'it ? If you will not get the money for your work, you will get a job in an other domain. Some publishers just sell the game on-line so the game never end's in a store or on a CD... [edited by - RaduS on June 25, 2003 10:11:55 PM]
I looked at your website.
1. Very poor design
2. No information about the game
3. only ONE single screenshot

You want a serious publisher then you need to be a serious developer and do a proper job presenting your game.

DISCLAIMER: If any of the above statements are incorrect, feel free to deliver me a good hard slap!My games: DracMan | Swift blocks
I don''t want to flame you but that site didn''t even interest me into trying to play the game let alone to publish it(if I was a publisher).

There is absolutely 0 (in words: zero) information about the game on the site.

And this game is what again..? I love the large amounts of description and beautiful design. Come on man put some effort into it. And put some more screenshots i mean was that even a screenshot?
Pro Case Modder at your service.
To get a publisher you need.....

A good demo (plenty of features, well presented, no bugs)
A proposal document/sell sheet
A company/team overview
Competative analysis
Design document

Plus, as mentioned above, your web site need to be better presented.

Yes .....I understand the game must have a good description, but if you try to make a game what is not a clone of a game that already exist, a game witch bring new conceptions to the game industry ....

...What I'm begining to understand is:
if you want to make a good game, you must be a big publisher or developer ... you just can't say you want to make a game wath is using these new ideas, because if you do that before you will finish your game there will be 10 game which are using yor ideeas..

I know that the site isn't that impressive.. i make it in 10 minutes, and there is no screen shot from the game because a still have a lot to work at the graphic of the game but right now i work at AI.

JohanOfverstedt i realy don't understand you.. you make a tetris game ? That is the reason why you are superior?
I remember when i have 10 years .... I make a tetris game , but wath chan you do on a Z80? I want to make a cool strategy game buy i was too busy playing 8 color games

look at iNcOgNeT0 who i don't think is finding my site more interesting but at least he know how to speak.

I'm new (i dont write here, just reading ) to this forum and i don't realy know what i can write on this topic.
If the game is a real time tactics I belive it is a little more complex than a tetris game... I already have coded the multiplayer and the game is working on a network. It is a very big difference between a game witch you play against your computer and a game you play against a human adversary. When you make a network game you must be very careful to the syncronization because the game on all the computers must be in the same state .. but this is programing ...

Obscure... to get a publisher i need:
- a good demo(plenty of features, well presented, no bugs)
What is the difference between the game and the demo?
Plenty of features .. sory but y don't realy understend the expresion, i belive you refer to the game description .. this is a tricky thing...
Well presented ... of course
no bugs ... realy hard .. the more complex the game is the more bugs will probabily have, Even after long time of beta testing the game will still gave bugs...

I don't realy like to make a demo because it take me some time .. I prefer giving an alfa version to the publisher if is interested.
If I make a demo what I do with it? The more complex the demo is the biger will be. I think i can make a 100M demo but i can't put it on the site ... What I'm going to do with the demo ?

- A proposal document ... what is this ?
- A sell sheet ... ??? a what ?
A company/team overview ... this can be done but is nothing impressive ...

Design document ... can you be more explicitly?

Thanks for the answers...
I will try to write more about the game on the site ..

Ok, what you are worried about is copyright theft, in which case real simple, place a copyright, or you can even issue a copyright with your local government. They those that steal it directly will die........ Actualy, the only thing a paranoid person like you could do is make sure everyone agrees to an NDA or such before viewing the site. New concept, but it just might work.
But anyhow, have you even done research as to what you have is a real new IDEA? If not, well, if somebody creates a game that is too close to yours, sue their sorry asses. Make sure you place your copyright statements. If it is a brand new GENRE actualy, you may wish to make a patent
