Now, I tried to extend my arrays and I recognized that having a vertex array with the size of numOfVerts + 1 solves the problem! I don't know why, because I directly get the numOfVerts from the 3DS file but I satisfied as long as I don't get this nasty error message any more and the model draws correctly.
So thank you everybody for your support. You helped me out with one of those errors I really hate and since I'm pretty short in time to finish my project this means really much to me! Thank ya!
