"File views"
Is there some way of creating file "views" for Nautilus or Konqueror?
It''s cause in Linux you have all those directories (/bin, /lib, /mnt, /home, /root, /sbin, /usr, /var, /etc, ...), and since my brother has never used Linux before, i would like to "hide" some of these directories, so that he doesn''t feel so lost when he opens nautilus/konqueror.
Thanks,
Victor.

The development version (2.3.x) of Nautilus finally has the ability to have "multiple roots", and will soon allow for them to be customized. Earlier versions of Nautilus didn''t allow you to change what it displayed as root.
I don''t know anything about what Konqueror does (or can do) really, since I haven''t used it in so long...

Heh,
If you're a mean brother.. you could always chroot your brother's home directory and give him whatever you want him to be able to use/see ( which doesn't solve your problem really since you need to have some system directories available anyway.. ).
