Obesity is caused by laziness and eating too damn much not any of that other crap. Sure, junk food is high in calories and fat, but if you don''t eat alot of it you won''t gain too much weight. And where are the parents for Gods Sake?

Political stupidity never ceases to amaze me.

I saw somewhere else someone mentioned which I perfectly agree with is that how is this tax supposed to make you feel that you have to lose weight?

Say if you buy a game that was 50 bucks, and you usually buy 3 games every few months....well now instead of buying 3 you only have enough for say 1 or 2.

That in no way makes me less obesite...all it does is make me purchase less games.

Who thought up this rediculous thing of increase tax and we will get skinnier people?

How about when you purchase games that you get so much off on a membership to the gym or once in a while give out a free 6 month deal.
This is bullcrap.. I consider myself to be quite fit (my stomach muscles are clearly defined.. so I don''t think I''m fat), and I am an avid game player and programmer (I also frequently indulge in snack foods.. mmmm). So let me get this straight.. Just because some other gamers (Of all my game player friends, none are fat) are fat and some liberal politician thinks that that games are the cause... I have to pay for him to get thin? My god, our taxes are already going to medicaid or whatever to help these fat people.. I think if we made them pay for their own weight problems, they''d lose more weight then if we payed..

Video games don''t increase obesity... To say the truth some of em might be somewhat healthy(kind of). FPS''s increase hand-eye coordination.

Why don''t we dump video games and candy bars off a boat?

Most programmers/computer workers I know (including myself) aren''t overweight at all.

Why don't people make games that require physical interaction?
I have seen a dancing game where you have to move your feet on a touch pad. How about a game that requires arm movements?

I'll bet if they ever made one that requires a treadmill the idiots would be suing because their sons or daughters would run themselves to death.
