hi there i want to know if there is any other way u could sell ur game not as a shareware software of coarse there''re publishers that would sell it for u but what i mean .. say that i have a completely finished game could i go ask some publisher to buy the game and give me $xxxx instead of if he gives me a percentage of the sales (considering that the game is really worth)? also which publisher should i knock his door if that''s possible and what price would my game gets me if it is an average(not very small, not super scalar) 3d shoot''em up genre ? thanx

considering the quantity of shareware out there, i would presume that it would be very difficult to find a publisher that will give you money upfront for it (unless of course maybe a very small fee)

maybe you should check out the independant game developers group website...
