I know it would be easy to say that game developers have grown in size considerably in the last 20 years from the 1 man show to teams up to 100+ people. However, I''m looking for the hard data. What is a good resource to find the information about the industry growth of developers (and publishers/distributors wouldn''t hurt. The trade body should have figures on industry employment as it is one of the major selling points for an industry - how many bums it removes from the unemployment queue. If they do they should be happy to share them with you. http://www.idsa.com/

Then there are the usual suspects (the market research companies). A quick check of a couple of recent reports does not show any sections on industry employment and team growth but they may have that data and be happy to sell it to you.
