Nice job. Having the planets lit by the sun rather than by ambient light would be a nice touch. Also, the rings on saturn in some of the photos have some fairly severe aliasing effects.... are you simulating them with geometry? You might try using an alpha-blended disk instead.
How appropriate. You fight like a cow.

Hehe once upon a time there was lightning but it is disabled now
.
I was creating planet models in milkshape so fastest way to create rings was with few thin cylinders
. Yeah, I know it''s stupid but it''s just temporary. Couldn''t find/create good enough texture for disk so I decided to leave it this way.
Anyway, glad you like it. Thanks!

Thanks again!
Believe me it''s not very professional. You need some 1.3GHz to run it smoothly. Yeah, I don''t understand how did I manage that either.
Anyway, only future I see with this project is good grade at school for it(i hope
) and maybe to speed it up little and put it as screensaver.
Any interests that I send it to Nehe like some demo or something similar? Source code included, no problem.

I think it would be great, and NeHe would like it if you sent it in as a demo... And, of course all the people that see it..
Nice very nice :D, very like my current project except my planets are created with quadrics using info about the system in a txt file. Basicly so i can render and create what ever systems I like
. Im just trying to go one step furter and add a atmosphere kinda effect to the planets which can been seen when you zoom into them. Not having much success thou :''( too new to opengl i am :/
