An 8x AGP slot and $750...enter the quest

The topic says it all: I have about $750 to invest in a professional graphics card, I need suggestions. What do you use and what do you like about it?
the main question... in wich "professional" way.. ATI Fire or nVidia Quadro is the only.. perhaps Wildcat PRO
