Hi, Can someone please point me towards a decent Win32 and Linux sound system that I can integrate into my 3D game? I am looking for something like BASS (http://www.un4seen.com/) which I have used in the past to play the standard sound filetypes, like wav and mp3. BASS is absolutely fantastic (small, powerful and free) but it is win32 only, and I need something that can run on both Windows and Linox OS’s. Any suggestions? How about OpenAL (possibly see Creative'' Developer Site for more resources)? It''s a little low level at times, but I like it.

Thanks guys

FMOD sounds very good. OpenAL might not be my cup of tea if it''s TOO low level, but Im gonna check em both out.

Thanks again for replying so quick.
