How to hide objects?

hi! does anybody know of a method or a tutorial or an article, or anything about hiding objects that we can''t see. By this i don''t refer tu frustum culling, but on hiding the objects that are e.g. in my frustum, but the object is behind a mountain, and i can''t see it from my camera position. f f f m c >--- m m m - o f m f f c-camera m-mountain o-object f-frustum >-camera direction thanks in advance follow the yellow brick road

by hiding them, i mean not to draw them...higher framerate

Well, just don''t draw the object if it should not be visible. You will maybe need to use some kind of tree, like bsp...
But it really depends on the type of 3d world you are making.
What you''re looking for is Occlusion culling
