Is c++ primer 4th ed a good book?

This is the book that my school gave us for our C++ class. I find it pretty easy to read and has it has some good examples too. BTW I''m in a Game Design Program not just a regular C++ class.

It''s quite good for a beginner, yet some things are rather strange. I thought, though, that nearer the end it got worse and worse. If you''re looking for really good books, have a look at some of the ACCU reviews (see my signature for link).
