I want to know how to make 2D cartoony people and with what program. Or do you just draw the picture and scan it in?

Well, I for one use paint for 2D drawing... It''s the easiest to use and its free... But it''s missing so many tools it''s not even funny. If you''re looking for tools, paintshop pro might be useful.

Jasc Paint Shop Pro is relativelty cheap, (last time I checked around $120 US) and easy to use! I like using layers for cartoony characters. Ships with it is Animation Shop, and you can take your pictures and create animations out of them. Really cool!

Yeah, I think it''s called Photoshop Elements (or maybe Light Edition), but I read some reviews and apparently it is good.

You can make lines with the GIMP! just press shift when using the pencil tool!

Ya, the GIMP is cool. I''m no good at pixel drawing, so I don''t use it that much, however, I sometimes use the airbrush for making heightmaps. It has lots of filters too.
