which is better 3ds max or maya
Forever the same question.
The best is maya, and max, and xsi, and lw, and... the software don''t care, only care your hability for modeling/animate and your creativity. If you want to make models/levels for games, its enough with maya/xsi/max/lw/houdini/milkshape/blender/truespace....

It doesn''t matter. You''ll never be able to afford either one. Well, maybe maya, the price dropped to 1,500 USD.

The real question is, why is 3D modelling so damn hard? Pretty much anythin I make looks like a deformed piece of crap, and I still can''t figure out how to texture things properly. There don''t seem to be any good tutorials about this, either. I guess it just takes artistic talent that I don''t have.
As for the original question, they''re both quite good. Why don''t you read some reviews or something?
