Font/Text Question

I am working on a program right now and i am using a bitmap font, and i am clipping the tex coords and blending the text on the screen. my problem is, with an environment now, the text gets blured and disapears in some areas, i know it is beceause of the blending and i think i know i have to use masking to mnake it work right. i want to know if i am right about the masking or is there another way or a quick fix for my problem now. and things would help. maybe if you have seen some source that using masking fonts or a type of font that fixes this problem, i could get a link.. thanks alot

There really isnt a screen shot needed i think..

all that is happening is that if i have white text on the screen and i put it over a white object, it disapearrs, or a color even close to white, it disapears and when i take it out of the white or close to white texture, it comes back again..

you need masking or use alpha channel and use font with dark edge to make it clear when you put it at bright background.
